Source: Celebuzz

From a 20.5 karat diamond engagement ring to a 6-figurewedding registry (a $43 butter spreader was the cheapest item), custom Vera Wang gowns for the entire bridal party, and individually boxed invitations, everything about Kris Humphries and Kim Kardashian’s wedding has been big, big, big. So, when OK! Magazine ball-parked the reality-TV diva’s nuptials, now only three days away, to cost upwards of $10 million, it wasn’t that much of a surprise. Yesterday The Real Estalker presumed the big shindig would be hosted in Montecito, CA at the renowned estate of former Google CEO, Eric Schmidt, however the latest news wedding locale is at another Silicon Valley mansion owned by venture capitalist Frank J. Caufield. As predicted, Kim and the Kardashian clan are pulling out all the stops.

Over here at Zillow we think in terms of real estate, so we decided to see what kind of houses the couple could snag for the price of their wedding. The result? A list of $10 million homes all perfect for the $10 million couple.

989 Cliff Dr, Laguna Beach, CA 92651 (above)
For Sale: $9,998,000

This multi-wing mission-style estate sits atop an oceanfront bluff that looks over Shaw’s Cove. What do you get for $10 million here, besides a fantastic view? How about 5 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms, and a 4,000+-sq ft floor plan “perfect for entertaining.” Looks like the formally celebrity owned piece of Laguna Beach real estate could be exactly what the newlyweds need to wind down from their whirlwind wedding and plan their first party as husband and wife.

7582 N Secret Canyon Dr, Tucson, AZ 85718 (above)
For Sale: $9,995,000

With Kim’s home base in LA and NY and Kris’s home court in New Jersey, perhaps they’ll consider Tucson as a good half-way point for a new home. For $10 million they can snag this amenity-rich mansion, currently listed on the Tucson real estate market for $9,995,000. Located on a private lot in the Catalina Foothills, this 13,350-sq ft estate has several $10 million features like its own English pub, a movie theater with seating for 15 people, 6 bedrooms including “master quarters,” 3 guest suites and separate guest quarters, 2 kitchens, exercise room with tanning facility, show room that fits 15 cars (check out pic #16), billiards room, swimming pool, spa, and outdoor entertaining area with outdoor kitchen.

(Undisclosed Address), New York, NY 10021 (above)
For Sale: $9,995,000

Tucson home values have fallen 41 percent since their peak, according to Zillow’s second quarter real estate market reports, giving Tucson a pretty big bang-for-you-buck factor (especially if you have 10 million bucks to spend). It’s not quite the same story for the New York real estate market, where themedian value per sq ft. in the New York metro is $229. In fact, the same $10 million that can buy the 13,000-sq ft in Tucson will get you a 4-bedroom penthouse apartment in the Big Apple. This Park Avenue pad could be a good fit for the New Jersey Nets star and his wife, who recently opened another DASH clothing store with sister Kourtney in NYC. Built in 1927, the Italian Renaissance home features a private elevator, 27-ft living room with fireplace, library, chef’s eat-in kitchen, a master wing, maid’s quarters, and 3 additional bedrooms all with en-suite baths.

1223 Ocean Rd, Bridgehampton, NY 11932 (above)
For sale: $9,950,000

Perhaps the K-couple will want to escape from the hustle and bustle of the big city. For $10 million you can snag a Colonial-style home in the Hamptons. This 8,000-sq ft home is located a block from the water making it easy for Kim and Kris to enjoy nightly strolls on the beach. In addition to beach living, this property has “all the bells and whistles” of a $10 million piece of Bridgehampton real estateincluding 7 bedrooms, 7.5 bathrooms, a private movie theater, heated outdoor swimming pool and Jacuzzi tub.

9727 Audubon Pl, Dallas, TX 75220 (above)
For sale: $9,950,000

What better for reality-TV royalty to spend $10 million on than a castle? Located in the exclusive neighborhood of Preston Hollow, this Dallas real estate gem is Disney castle-esque and quite a deal considering $3.3 million was just chopped off the asking price. Built in 2000, the 3.19-acre estate is complete with a stone exterior, circular driveway with fountain, grand staircase, billiards room, dine-in wine room, 7 bedrooms, 8 bathrooms, and 13,000-sq ft of living space. Check out more castles for salein the United States here.

1240 E Nez Perce Rd, Jackson Wy 83001 (above)
For Sale: $9,900,000

If the newlyweds are interested in channeling their more rustic side, than Bighorn Lodge in Jackson, WY is the way to go. Surrounded by the Grand Teton Nation Park, Bighorn Lodge is a 5.32-acre estate noted as “one of the most impressive log homes” on the Jackson real estate market. The listing description notes the 8,000-sq ft home, completed in 2008, was reduced from the builder’s price of $16 million to the current asking price of $9,900,000. Dropping $10 million in Wyoming not only gets you spectacular mountain views, but high-end luxury in the form of a gourmet kitchen, a living room with 27-foot-high ceilings and an enormous corner master suite.

16 Yosemite Valley Rd, Westerly, RI 02891 (above)
For sale: $9,900,000

Rhode Island may be the smallest state in America but for the price of Kim Kardashian’s wedding, the happy couple could buy some pretty big real estate. More specifically, a 20-room seaside mansion known as the “Clarmar” estate. This 3.42-acre, fully restored piece of Westerly real estate boasts 12 bedrooms, 9 bathrooms, ocean views, expansive deck perfect for entertaining, and is a short walk away from beaches.

Boyne City Rd, Charlevoix, MI 49720 (above)
For sale: $9,950,000

How about life on the lake for $10 million in the “Charlevoix Cottage?” Featured on HGTV’s Amazing Waterfront Homes in 2008, this 2-acre property includes 227-ft of private beach, private dock, tennis court, screened gazebo, a heated 20-person spa, putting green, and a nearly 15,000-square-feet. The enormous home is perfect for all the in-laws Kim and Kris will undoubtedly be hosting.

What do you think? $10 million wedding or $10 million home?

Why are Kris Humphries & Kim Kardashian divorcing after only 72 days?

wenn3474285

As I already talked about, Kim Kardashian is filing for divorce today, right now, of this very moment. Ryan Seacrest has confirmed the news (he produces their shows), and every media outlet is running it, so it’s on. TMZ says that she’s going to be citing“irreconcilable differences” which is funny because how “irreconcilable” is anythingafter only 72 days? It’s not like they’re being tortured, you know? “Oh, I just don’t know how much longer I can go to parties and have my photograph taken with my husband! IT’S TORTURE.” Anyway, now we get to play the fun game of “Why Are they Really Splitting Up?”

*Theory #1: TMZ claims that the fight that led to divorce was about Kris Humphries wanting to move back to Minnesota. TMZ claims, “We’re told Kris was passionate about eventually settling down in Minnesota, where he’s from … and believed Kim was on board with the plan. She wasn’t. Sources tell us Kim — who’s from L.A. — wants to stay near her family … and she also feels that staying in town is the best thing for her career.”

*Theory #2: Us Weekly’s sources say that Kris “isn’t drinking the Kardashian Kool-Aid”and it was causing major problems because he wouldn’t just fall in line. Also, he’s bored and doing nothing because of the lockout, and it was driving Kim crazy.

*Theory #3: Kim and Kris were living in NYC with Kourtney, Scott and Mason-Dixon. Kim told People that the living situation was “not ideal” for newlyweds.

*Theory #4: Kim is already boning someone else. Hollywood Life thinks it might be Linnocent’s old john, Vikram Chatwal. Reggie Bush is probably in the mix too. Or what about that dude Kim was already sexting while she was engaged?

*Theory #5: It was always just a dumb lie, a storyline promoted for the reality show. It was all for ratings and money and famewhoring and gifts and freebies and an excuse to throw a party. It was all business.

*Theory #6: This is my theory - it wasn’t all a lie, just mostly a lie. I think that Kim didn’t really love Kris, but thought he was easy-going enough to be married to for a short time. I think the basic thing, the crux of all of this is that Kim simply wanted to have a wedding. She wanted to plan a wedding and wear a white dress. She didn’t think about anything beyond “walking down the aisle”.

Also: I can’t believe I was right about a “A Very Kardashian Divorce: The Kardashian Khristmas Special”. Except maybe this one will be a Thanksgiving special. In any case, they didn’t make it to the end of the year, so I win.
