Peter Andre House.

I've found my dream home,' boasts Peter Andre in final sign he's moving on without Katie Price

Peter Andre has let the world know there is no going back following his split from wife Katie Price - by buying a new house.

The Australian singer has splashed out on a £1.8million seven-bedroom home in Hove, near Brighton, a short drive from the former Price-Andre family home near Woldingham, Surrey.

The 36-year-old admitted he had found the 'perfect house' and was waiting until builders made it more child-friendly before moving in.

Since the celebrity couple announced their shock split on May 11, Peter has split his time between his holiday house in Cyprus and his manager Claire Powell's home in West Sussex.

Katie ordered Peter's belongings to be removed from the family home while he was staying in Cyprus, so he is effectively homeless until he moves into his new pad.

Writing in his New! magazine column, Peter enthused: 'It's just a few minutes' walk from the beach.

'I really wanted to be near the sea as the kids love it there so much.

'It's really modern and spacious and I love it. The whole top floor is a master bedroom, so I'll be pretty comfortable.'

As well as having the couple's three children to stay, Peter is also hoping to live with his older brother Mike, who the singer hailed as 'his rock' following the split.

He said: 'He's my best mate as well as my brother and I love him so much.'

Also this week, Peter insisted there were good reasons behind his decision to leave Katie and it hadn't been made 'on a whim'.

He wrote in his column: 'There are good reasons that made me walk out but as I’ve said to you before, I don’t want to discuss what the reasons are as they are private.

They say moving house is one of the most stressful things you can go through in your life.

But Peter Andre looked the picture of calm yesterday as he moved his belongings into his new house in west Sussex.

The 37-year-old star looked happy and relaxed as he made the most of the blazing hot sunshine in a black vest, jeans and flip flops.

Andre, who was being filmed for his ITV2 reality TV show, also took some time to greet his new neighbours, who came over especially to say hello.

The father-of-three seemed particularly interested in talking to one lady, who he hugged and gave a kiss on the cheek after their conversation.

Andre has spent an estimated £2million on the seven-bedroom house in East Grinstead, close to his four-year-old son Junior's primary school.

The Behind Closed Doors singer had been renting a house in Brighton after splitting from Katie Price, but decided to look for a more permanent abode after admitting he was 'throwing money away' by renting.

He previously said: 'I want a nice family home that’s convenient for everyone.

'I absolutely love the house I’ve been renting since my split with Kate, but it’s not near Junior’s school and that’s a real priority for me.'

Andre, who also has a two-year-old daughter Princess Tiaamii with Price, is also said to have decided on the house because it is situated on a private road and away from the prying eyes of fans.

It will also act as the perfect base for Andre as he continues to successfully build his professional life.

Currently hosting Channel 4 teatime programme 5 O'Clock Show, Andre will also release new book My World later this month.

'It’s really important to me, though, that people know I didn’t just wake up one day and decide to leave on a whim.

'My children have always been the most important thing in my life and they always will be.'

He also hit out at reports he had posed for photos with son Junior, three, and daughter Princess Tiaamii, 23 months, in Hove last week for publicity.

After the photos emerged, Katie wrote on her Twitter micro-blogging page: 'Mmmmm, I smell set up pictures.'

However, Peter said: 'The thought of profiting in any way from this terrible situation is totally beyond anything I would consider doing.

'Unfortunately, I am being followed by paparazzi constantly at the moment, and I’d have to stay in the house to avoid this. That’s no good when you’ve got kids because they need to go out sometimes, too.'

Last week, the estranged pair made their first public appearances since the split, just a few miles away from each other in London.

On Thursday night, Peter hosted male strip show Here Come The Boys at the O2 Arena in Greenwich.

The following day, Katie showed off her figure in a series of saucy outfits as she modelled at the Clothes Show Live at the ExCel Centre.

Peter Andre tells Katie Price it's 'too late' to reconcile, as he spends first day back with his kids

Peter jubilant at seeing kids, but scorns Jordan's text pleas to save marriage.

Fuming Peter Andre has turned down a surprise late-night plea from Katie Price to “save our marriage”.

She sent a text to say she wanted him back – just hours after she saw a £500-an-hour divorce lawyer about formalising their split and safeguarding her money.

But in a charged exchange of messages, Peter said her apparent change of mind – after she packed up his possessions, sent them away in a van and changed the locks at their home – was too late to seem sincere.

Peter, 36, who insists he battled to keep the marriage going only to be scorned by Katie, told her: “I wish you had heard MY pleas when we were married.”

Yesterday, a beaming Peter was pictured on the beach at Hove, East Sussex, after he was reunited with son Junior, three, and daughter Princess Tiaamii, 23 months.

Peter is upset that Katie had reneged on an agreement that the children would spend the entire Bank Holiday Weekend with him, from Friday morning until tomorrow.

Instead, she got her nanny to drop them off on Friday morning before taking them home again in the evening, telling Peter it was “too unsettling” for them to stay overnight. The same happened yesterday.

Breaking his silence, he said: “I am OK now I’m with my babies. It’s been a really tough couple of weeks but being with them is the best tonic in the world. It makes everything better.

Peter told the Sunday Mirror as he and the children threw stones into the sea together: “I missed them so much when they were away from me – it was by far the worst part of what has happened.

“But today has helped me to forget all the negative stuff. All I want now is to have a fun day with them.”

As he strolled on the seafront, passers-by came up to him telling him to have the strength to see the break-up through. He revealed he will be reunited with seven-year-old stepson Harvey today, after Katie agreed he could see him.

“I am going to get to see Harvey, which will be absolutely fantastic,” he said. “He is such a special boy and I haven’t seen him, so I am looking forward to it more than you can imagine.”

Peter, who hadn’t seen his children for 12 days after she took them to the Maldives, was devastated not to read them their bed-time story and give them their bath last night, his favourite part of their daily routine.

He and Katie exchanged texts on Friday night as the model – formerly Jordan – held a raucous karaoke session at their home for her 31st birthday.

A friend said: “Despite what she was saying about wanting him back, Pete has drawn a line under the marriage. The wounds are all just too raw.

“He said, ‘I will always love her. She’s the mother of my children. She won’t find another man who will love her like I do. But it just couldn’t go on.’”

The friend added: “His heart was totally set on having the kids all weekend as they had arranged. It’s left him in pieces.

“They ran up to Pete saying, “Daddy, Daddy” when they saw him on Friday. Princess was so pleased to see him – then they had to go home again at night. Katie’s reasoning is that Peter is staying in his agent Claire Powell’s spare room and she didn’t want the kids being unsettled.

“But she has just taken Princess Tiaamii and Junior on a 12,000-mile round trip to the Maldives on six different planes – then she had the kids back with her for the big party for her birthday with a load of people in the house.

“If anything was going to be unsettling, surely it was that.”

The friend revealed: “But Pete is doing everything to keep the peace. He has had so much (abuse) off Kate over the years. The sad thing is that he wanted to grow old with Katie. He never thought he would end up in this situation. He wanted to have more kids with her.

“But there comes a point when enough is enough. Pete said, ‘I have to do this for my own sanity.’”

For several hours on Friday, Katie saw divorce expert Fiona Shackleton – who acted for Sir Paul McCartney and Prince Charles – at her London offices. She has also hired respected PR guru Alan Edwards’ firm the Outside Organisation, which also acts for Sir Paul.

Yesterday, Katie’s friends were insisting she “sincerely hopes” the marriage can be saved.

They said she had only been to see Mrs Shackleton – nicknamed the Steel Magnolia for her staunch defence of her clients – because Peter had been to a lawyer too.

A source said: “She’s seeking to protect herself in case of a messy legal battle and she’d do anything to keep her family together.”

But Peter’s friend said: “Katie will need to do a lot more to convince Pete that she want to get back together and that this is entirely heartfelt. She says she is heartbroken then throws herself a birthday party.”

Princess Tiaamii and Junior were taken off to Claire’s house in Cowfold, West Sussex, to see their dad at 9.30am yesterday.

Horse-mad Katie left her Surrey mansion just before noon and was driven on a 35-minute trip to stables at Bolney Park Farm in West Sussex, home of her close friend and dressage trainer Andrew Gould. Katie and father-of-two Andrew, 28, have insisted that they are just friends and not involved in any romance.

Before going to the beach, Peter and children went to a boating pond and fed the swans and ducks. The little ones laughed with delight as a gull swooped down to steal a morsel.

Preparing for life as single man, Peter looked at possible homes in the Brighton area after he, manager Claire and the two children had lunch at a local Italian restaurant.
