Jewel Kilcher better known as simply Jewel is one of the top selling female recording artists in history with over 27 million albums sold worldwide. Jewel was born in Payson, Utah but soon moved to Homer, Alaska with her family where she would spend most of her childhood. Jewel now lives on a roughly 2,000 acre ranch in Stephenville, Texas that her World Champion rodeo cowboy husband Ty Murray purchased shortly before they met.

In July 1997, Murray purchased over 1,600 additional acres which includes a 3,025 square foot home. The rodeo king's most recent ranch land grab was in February 2003 where he added 200 acres to the total.
Many scenes in the video for Jewel's 2006 song "Stephenville, TX" were filmed on the ranch.
