I recently saw that Kelsey Grammer had put two houses on the market ,and it seems that besides acting he is very involved in real estate. He has been reported buying and selling houses every year, and currently seems to own them all over the place from NY and Hamptons to Hawaii and California.
Few of these beautiful houses have been featured on Architectural Digest. Following his latest marriage he has put two on the market - the Hamptons house and the Colorado chalet - and is looking for a fresh start in New York with his young bride. For once it is great to see a celebrity who manages to build a nice property portfolio and doesn't get too greedy and end up having to be forced to sell their homes with big losses.
The Hamptons house is 8000 sq ft (740m2) with 7bed- and bathrooms and it is custom-built in the traditional wood-shingle Hamptons' style. The interior is also very traditional and filled with lighter fabrics and darker wood furniture and antiques. The asking price for this house is nearly $10m.

The lovely Avon, Colorado chalet has featured previously on Architectural Digest in 2004 where Kelsey and then his-wife Camille were posing in many of the pictures. This house is on the market for $7.9m and adds up to 8500 sq ft (790m2). The interior is less formal than on the one in Hamptons, but somehow a bit different that what I would have expected for a "skiing" lodge. Nevertheless, this house is also gorgeous, especially from the outside.

AD featured this Maui, Hawaii home of Grammer in 2001. He had bought the land for $1 m and built this plantation-style home, which was sold in 2005 for $11m. Grammer is still reported to own two other houses in the beautiful Hawaii. I think this house had the most personality of all the house I have seen there are also way more accessories and the furnishing is much more relaxed than in the other houses.

The latest Grammer house featured on AD was the Beverly Hills "Henry's House" in December 2009. Not the traditional uber-mansion such as what the Spellings had, but inside a bit more of an English country cottage- just with larger proportions that what one would normally expect. The decor of this house is a bit bland with mainly shades of brown and dark blue.

Grammer apperas to still also own this 5 acre Serra retreat in Malibu, California. The shape of the house looks romantic in an old-fashioned way.
